First blog post

I have been considering starting a blog for a few months now.  This blog will be somewhat
eclectic, I will write about a variety of topics including, business and finance issues, about family and culture, literature, running, and anything else that gets my attention.  Although there is a temptation to write about political opinions, I am going to resist the temptation, with one exception.  I reserve the write to about issues that deal with our security as a nation. More than anything, I hope that I can pass along practical and usable information that will help you to be more successful in life.
